Strategy shareholders have approved amendments permitting daily dividends on four preferred stock series, moving the Bitcoin treasury company toward more frequent distributions. STRC is scheduled to switch on November 1, 2026, while STRF, STRK and STRD are set to follow on January 1, 2027.

The company disclosed the approval after an October 28 special shareholder meeting. Its filing said preliminary voting results showed the required support had been obtained, although implementation remains subject to the amended certificates of designations being filed and becoming effective.

The approval covers the variable-rate Stretch preferred stock, traded as STRC, alongside Strife, Strike and Stride. Those three securities trade under STRF, STRK and STRD, respectively, and carry stated annual dividend rates of 10%, 8% and 10%.

Strategy presented the proposal as a change in payment frequency rather than an increase in annualized dividend rates. Under the previous schedules, STRC paid semi-monthly and the other three paid quarterly, meaning holders would receive smaller distributions more often under the new framework.

In its proposal materials, Strategy said shorter intervals could reduce the delay before investors can reinvest distributions. The company also identified improved liquidity, market efficiency and price stability as potential benefits, but those remain expectations rather than demonstrated outcomes of the approved change.

Strategy had already conditionally declared STRC dividends for every calendar day in November, maintaining a 12% annualized rate for that month. Its October 16 disclosure listed payments totaling $1 per share attributable to November record dates, beginning November 2 and ending December 1, subject to the stated implementation conditions.

Daily dividends do not mean cash will arrive on weekends or bank holidays. The framework provides for calendar-day record dates with payment on the following business day, so several daily distributions can reach shareholders together rather than as separate payments on consecutive calendar days.

Strategy's approval filing illustrates that distinction with dividends for November 6, 7 and 8. For shares cleared through the Depository Trust Company, all three would share a November 6 record date and Nasdaq ex-dividend date, with payment on November 9.

The settlement rules also affect who receives those distributions. In that example, Strategy expects an investor buying on November 6 to receive none of the three dividends under the T+1 settlement cycle, while an investor selling that day would retain entitlement to all three.

The next step is completing the filings needed to make the amended terms effective before the scheduled rollout. Strategy cautioned that dividend treatment can differ across brokers, clearing platforms and trading venues, making those operational arrangements important as STRC transitions first and the remaining securities follow in January.
