Grvt Burns 1.1 Million Tokens Ahead of Planned 2.0 Launch
Grvt says its token issuer bought and burned nearly 1% of circulating GRVT supply, beginning a rollout of earning and trading products ahead of a planned November platform overhaul.

Grvt said its Foundation’s token issuer purchased and burned 1.1 million GRVT tokens in its first buyback, removing close to 1% of circulating supply at the time of purchase. The announcement begins a series of milestones leading to the planned launch of Grvt 2.0 at the end of November 2026.
The self-custodial trading platform, built on its own zero-knowledge blockchain, described the buyback as discretionary rather than a fixed commitment. The issuer intends to conduct additional rounds monthly, but neither the timing nor the amount of future purchases is guaranteed.
According to the announcement, an independent execution partner carries out the purchases before the acquired tokens are permanently removed from supply. Grvt says a public dashboard provides purchase and burn totals, the proportion of circulating supply involved and on-chain transaction hashes, allowing users to examine the activity.
The buyback follows GRVT’s token generation event in July 2026 and accompanies a broader expansion of the platform’s products. Grvt presents the initiative as a mechanism for reducing token supply alongside that expansion, rather than as a substitute for delivering the planned services.
The next milestone is an upgraded Grvt Earn product, scheduled for the end of October. The company says it will offer exposure to tokenized assets with target yields of up to 11%, derived from underlying cash flows such as interest, premiums and invoice-related income. Those returns are not guaranteed, and asset-supplying partners are to be identified at launch.
Stable Funding Perps, planned for November, will introduce perpetual futures linked to commodities, stocks, foreign exchange and indices. Grvt says the contracts will have zero trading fees and once-daily funding, with a goal of listing more than 1,000 markets by the end of December 2026. That figure remains a company target rather than an existing market count.
A separate November release, Yield as Margin, is intended to let eligible Grvt Earn balances support trading positions while continuing to accrue yield. Access will be subject to product terms and risk parameters, making those conditions important to how the feature ultimately operates.
Together, the products address a trade-off Grvt identifies between keeping capital available for trading and deploying it to earn returns. Its proposed approach brings those functions into a single self-custodial balance, rather than requiring users to move funds between separate earning and trading products.
The planned Grvt 2.0 release will combine those capabilities in a redesigned application, accompanied by a new name and visual identity. The company also plans to publish its 2027 roadmap alongside the late-November launch, setting out the next phase of development.
The immediate focus is whether Grvt delivers the scheduled products and discloses the partners and conditions behind its yield offering. Further buybacks would provide additional evidence of the issuer’s intended monthly program, but the announcement leaves their size and execution at its discretion.
