Jay-Z opened his two-night engagement at SoFi Stadium on Friday with a guest lineup that included Blue Ivy Carter, Scarface, John Legend and DJ Khaled. The Los Angeles concert brought his Jay-Z30 celebration into its final weekend, pairing a broad selection from his catalog with family and collaborative appearances.

The October 23 show was sold out, according to the celebration’s official recap, and followed performances in New York, London and Paris. Los Angeles is the final stop in the run, giving the two-night stadium engagement the role of closing a series built around the rapper’s music and influence.

Jay-Z began with “Hovi Baby” before moving through selections including “Izzo,” “Run This Town,” “Hard Knock Life” and “Dirt Off Your Shoulder.” The published set list also included “Where I’m From,” “Can I Live,” “Family Feud” and “Never Change,” drawing together songs from different parts of his recording career rather than centering the evening on one release.

Blue Ivy joined her father to play piano on “The Story of O.J.” and “Dead Presidents,” according to the official account. Her appearance brought a family collaboration into a show otherwise largely framed around Jay-Z’s catalog, with her contribution taking an instrumental role across the two songs.

Scarface’s appearance added another collaborative passage, with the pair performing “This Can’t Be Life” and “Mind Playing Tricks on Me.” The guest segment sat within a set that also included “Song Cry” and “99 Problems,” making room for a fellow rapper’s material alongside Jay-Z’s own songs.

The performance also acknowledged the late Nipsey Hussle through musical references woven into the arrangements. The official recap described a nod to “Hussle & Motivate” during “Hard Knock Life” and the use of the “Last Time I Checc’d” instrumental in “On to the Next One,” incorporating the tribute into the main set rather than listing it as a separate performance.

John Legend and DJ Khaled joined Jay-Z for “God Did” to close the evening. Their appearance gave the finale its own guest pairing after Blue Ivy’s piano performances and Scarface’s rap collaboration, allowing the show’s featured performers to contribute at distinct points rather than gathering for a single group segment.

The official recap listed Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, G-Eazy, Tia Mowry and Omari Hardwick among those in attendance, and credited June Ambrose with Jay-Z’s bespoke stage ensembles. A second SoFi Stadium concert was scheduled for Saturday, October 24, to conclude the celebration; the opening-night account did not announce which guests, if any, would return for the final performance.
