Sam Fender says he has lowered ticket prices and scrapped a premium standing category for his upcoming UK stadium tour after objecting to proposed charges circulating on social media. The singer announced general admission standing tickets at £85 before additional charges, with seated tickets priced at £55, £75 and £95.

In an Instagram story reported by The Standard and LBC, Fender said he had secured the removal of separately priced front-standing tickets. Under the revised arrangement, standing ticket holders would have the same opportunity to reach the front rather than paying extra for access to that area.

The announcement followed his response to an Instagram post claiming to show prices for the Proper Massive Stadium Tour ’27. Fender said the figures were higher than he had intended and argued that increases should reflect the cost of putting on the concerts.

The original social media post claimed Wembley Stadium would have front-standing tickets costing £130.75 and another standing category at £98.85. Those figures were presented as proposed prices by the account sharing them, rather than as purchases already completed by fans. Fender subsequently outlined a different pricing structure for the UK stadium shows.

The revised headline prices do not represent the final amount customers will pay. Fender said they exclude venue and ticket company fees, alongside a £1-per-ticket contribution to Live Trust, which supports the UK's grassroots music ecosystem. That distinction means the announced £85 standing price should not be read as an all-inclusive total.

Fender also said the costs of staging concerts had risen sharply compared with two years earlier. He maintained that venue and ticketing fees were beyond his control, drawing a distinction between the changes he had negotiated and the additional charges attached to a ticket purchase.

The intervention addresses both affordability and how access is organised inside the venues. Removing a separately priced front-standing category eliminates the proposed premium for that section, while the revised ticket bands give fans a clearer starting point for budgeting. It does not remove the additional charges Fender identified.

The wider tour is scheduled to visit Newcastle, Cardiff, London, Edinburgh, Dublin and Manchester in summer 2027, according to LBC. Fender's statement about removing front-standing tickets specifically referred to the UK stadium tour, so it should not automatically be taken as confirmation of identical arrangements for the Dublin show.

The next step is the ticket sale, when fans will be able to see the final charges attached to their chosen venue and ticket category. NME reported a general sale scheduled for October 30 at 9:30 a.m., following a presale. Fender's announcement sets out his revised approach ahead of that process, while leaving venue and ticket-company fees as an additional cost.
